CBR: Thursday Night Football Play

Another weekend of football is less than 24 hours away and it is time to batten down the hatches and bring home the coins! It all starts on the banks of the Ohio River in Cincinnati as the apple of the NFL`s eye, the Miami Dolphins takes on the newly uniformed Cincinnati Bengals. The Miami Dolphins come off the bus catching a cool 4 points after a big-time victory against their divisional adversary, Buffalo Bills. Now, pause just a minute, this is a red flag, why is a team on a two-game win streak an underdog, especially after they beat two NFL powerhouses in Baltimore and Buffalo? Well, the answer is easier than you think, the market simply does not believe in Miami. They see what I see and that is in both the Baltimore and Buffalo games, Miami did not beat their opponents, their opponents lost the game. Case and point would be the last weeks Buffalo game. Looking at the offensive numbers alone, it should have been a Buffalo victory easily. However, a thin Buffalo defense and exhausted offense could not beat the Miami sun.

Also, let’s not count out the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals are 7-0 ATS against opponents coming off a straight up in win. Also, Cincinnati is 13-2 ATS against opponents coming of a win of 3 points or less, Miami beat Buffalo, 21-19, last week. Finally, as if it could not make any more sense as to why the Bengals are favored or as to why you should hammer them tomorrow night is they are 7-0 ATS, that’s right 7-0 ATS, against opponents with a winning record. Don’t overthink it, Bengals – 4.
